Ingredients:

  • Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats - 1 cup
  • Raw Seeds / Nuts, of your choice - 1 1/2 cups
  • Raisins - 1/4 cup
  • Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dates - 10
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Almond Butter - 3 tablespoons

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 330°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a blender, combine the Dates, Water, and Almond Butter. Blend until you achieve a smooth, thick paste. The sweetness of the granola comes from this paste, offering a subtle, natural flavor. If you prefer it sweeter, add a few extra dates to the mix.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, seeds, nuts, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir to evenly distribute the dry ingredients.
  4. Pour the date paste into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir well until the oats, seeds, and nuts are fully coated with the paste.
  5. Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread it out into an even layer, pressing gently to create clusters.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting. The granola should be golden brown and fragrant.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the granola cool completely. As it cools, it will become crisp. Once cooled, stir in the raisins for a touch of natural sweetness.
